Summary of purchases

Hi everyone,

Well, I had planned on doing another blog entry tonight and then I got my $10 credit from Copious. I'll see if I can put something together tonight, but I am literally hours behind on everything. It takes me a minute to decide what to buy from Copious so it always puts me behind on things.

I've found some great deals this week so far, so here's how I've made out:

Copious
$10 credit - I bought CoverGirl Outlast Smoothwear Lip Liner in the color Blush. Sells on Amazon for $4.50 for 1 or $5.49 for 2. I paid $3.91 for 1.
I also bought a lot of Wet n' Wild Megaslicks Lip Gloss in colors Cherish, Red Sensation and Sweet Glaze. I bought this for 1 penny! Sweet Glaze sells for $5.25, Red Sensation sells for $5.85 and Cherish also sells for $5.85 on Amazon.

Total spent: $1.40
Total saved: estimated $17.53

Zoya
I haven't been able to win the Zoya Beach & Surf collections yet, so fortunately for me Zoya had some awesome sales on it this week. I was one of the lucky ones to get the mini trio collection Monday - only 2000 were given away but these were free - I just had to pay $6.95 shipping.

Here's what's included in the collection for those of you who don't know. All polishes are half size the typical Zoya bottle, so they are .25 fluid ounces.

Zoya Myrta "described as: Warm medium orange coral with red undertone, gold and silver metallic shimmer, and a foil-like finish. The coral color of Myrta is soft, but the foil finish gives it added warmth and glow."

Zoya Zuza "described as: Deep, saturated, oceanic turquoise with gold and silver metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish. A beachy, colorful, foil-like shade with the perfect balance between blue and green."

Zoya Kimber " best described as: Rich, bright and saturated medium magenta pink with strong gold metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish. A huge hit of color and a shot of shiny gold metal make this polish look electric."

Myrta I decided I needed because I own only 1 orangish color. Myrta and Zuza should be perfect for me, as they're both Cool colors. Kimber is one of my favorites of this collection, I can't wait to try it!

The 6 piece mini samplers sell for $48. I would expect trios to sell for $24 and since these are minis, I would expect the final price to be $12. However, like the other limited trio minis I've seen, I would expect them to sell at least twice that. I've seen some Zoya mini trios sell for around $30. It will be interesting to see how much these go for once they've reached eBay and other such sites.

Since this is equal to buying a bottle and a half of Zoya, which goes for $8, $12 seems reasonable. Savings on this: $5.05.

Surprise, surprise! Not only did Zoya give away these minis for *free, but I woke up today to find out the had given me special credit on my account: just enough for a very special deal: I was able to buy 3 polishes from the Beach & Surf collection for just $15. Free shipping, too! Before I tell you what I bought, here's how much I saved on these three polishes:
$8 x 3 + $6.95 for shipping = $30.95 so I saved $15.95!

I really wasn't planning on buying any more polish for awhile after splurging on the minis Monday, but I just couldn't pass on the chance to get 3 Zoyas at such a good price. So here's what I bought:

Zoya Arizona  "described as: Softened bright citrus orange with a muted cream finish. This orange is bright but also very soft, giving it a fun, orange sherbet-like look on the nails." I mentioned I needed orange polish, right?

Zoya Carly, which has been on my Wishlist for months now! "best described as: Very rich, bold, red-toned dark purple with iridescent red and silver metallic shimmer and a dense foil finish. The bold color and sparkling foil finish make Carly like gift wrap for your nails."

Zoya Rory "described as: Medium mauve pink with lilac tones, gold and silver reflective metallic shimmer accents, and a foil-like finish. The gentle color of this polish gives the foil finish a softened appearance."

To summarize, I bought 6 polishes, 1 lip liner, and 3 lip glosses with a total estimated value of $60.48 but I only spent $23.35! Just over a third of the total value! I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

However, I am now putting myself on a polish diet for awhile, at least until the next time I get more credits! :D

edit: I just had to edit to say that I saved over $25 on groceries today, yippee!
