Mail Haul! Copious & Julep

Good evening,

This morning I got 3 packages in the mail, which for me is a MAJOR mailing. I'm so excited about what I got today, and I'm literally in a state of shock at what great deals I got. It's really amazing what you can get on the Internet these days, and how much money you can save if you just look.

I've mentioned before how much I love Copious.com, right? My love for this site grows all the time! I've only been a member for a month but I've already gotten $40 credit, and actually I could have gotten $10 more but didn't realize it at the time. Anyway, the first 2 packages I got were Copious.com purchases.

I've never been a fan of lipsticks, and after buying these lip glosses I've come to the conclusion glosses are my new best friends! I may even start wearing them daily :)

What I got:
Makeup Lot of 3 Wet and Wild Megaslicks Lip Gloss:
  • The first is called Cherish number 564A. It is a pearl pink color.
  • Next is Sweet Glaze number 560A. It is a clear gloss.
  • Last is Red Sensation number 577A. It is a red color with shimmer.
Red Sensation is kind of a weird color, and I was a bit worried it might be too dark or too red for me but nope, it is perfect and I think it's my favorite of the bunch! It's kind of a weird dark red with just a hint of orange. It enhances my lip color perfectly, and has lots of pretty glitter packed in. I tried it on and my boyfriend couldn't even tell I was wearing anything so it's definitely natural looking.
After credits, I only paid 1 penny for these. I also got CoverGirl Outlast Smoothwear Lip Liner- 100 Blush and I paid $1.39 for it.
Sorry the picture isn't very good, my lighting just isn't very good at the moment but I think you can tell Blush is just the perfect color for me. I wasn't positive it would be a good match, but it is.

The third package I got is from Julep.com! If you're not familiar with Julep, they are a subscription service. Each month they offer product boxes in an array of different styles. If you choose to purchase a box, it's just $20. To join, you just take a quiz which determines your fashion style, sign up, and you'll get your introductory box within about 3 business days. The introductory box contains at least 2 polishes plus other goodies. You can cancel at any time, and you're not required to purchase a box so you don't have to pay anything to maintain a subscription! Plus, you can purchase multiple boxes, and you can purchase boxes as gifts for other people so this would be a great gift. When you sign up, you also get 20% off any product in their store! They also have an affiliate program, so you can possibly earn a month's box for free. I should also mention that you are able to preview the boxes before you buy them so you can pick just the one you want or you don't have to buy one at all! Shipping is always free, too!

I joined and got the following items for just one penny by using the code COLOR2012 at checkout, and you can too! Just go here to sign up and enter the code at checkout. I got the It Girl Introductory Maven Box, so I got 3 polishes! The polishes retail at $14 so I saved $42 just on the polish. I also got two finger spacers which is nice. (Edit: I've also seen the code MAVENINTRO being used, so you may want to try both if one doesn't work.)

I got:

Brooke: "Sheer shimmery purple. Use alone or over another shade to add a modern twist." I've seen some swatches of this over black and it is gorgeous!

Mandy: "Fresh, bright, deep coral-pink creme. A favorite for summer pedicures, but surprisingly wow on manicures too."

Jessica: "Soft and sweet baby blue creme. What's fun now." Jessica is my least favorite of the three. It's a nice color but not really my style. I'll definitely be using it, though!

I don't know if I'll be being any more boxes in the future or not... maybe a few around Christmas & my birthday ;) I'll definitely be keeping tabs and watching for great boxes! They have special codes year round from what I've read as well. Apparently this month you can possibly receive a mystery polish with your June box, so that's pretty neat. If anything else, it's definitely worth the 1 cent just for trying, so definitely check it out today if you haven't already.
