Yesterday I finally got some nail mail, the first in a month! Not only did I get nail mail, but I got my very first Zoya color:
Zoya Cynthia. I absolutely love this color! A lot of people have complained about the color, they felt it was too dark. That's what I love about it; I wanted something near black but not quite black. This definitely did the trick. Just one coat and in certain light it looks black. I'll definitely be swatching this one sometime soon. I have a lot more polishes coming my way in the next week, so stay tuned. Cynthia, though, is definitely a keep. I absolutely love this color and the only thing I have to complain about is that it didn't seem to dry very quickly. I'm not very patient, but after an hour and a half this polish didn't seem near to being dry. I have more Zoyas coming soon, so I'll have to see how they fair. I live just a few miles from Lake Michigan, so it's always very humid here and that definitely could have played a part in it, I don't know. This is definitely the best nail polish I've ever gotten for a
penny! ;) I can't wait to get the rest of my Zoyas to try them out.
Sorry Cynthia looks a mess here. I painted it shortly before bed, and it didn't dry enough so it got a little messed up in my sleep. On my nails: Sally Hansen Royal Purple Chrome over OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! and Sally Hansen Aquamarine Chrome over Zoya Cynthia. I promise I'll do a better swatch at another time! My pointer finger is just Sally Hansen Royal Purple Chrome. I love this polish. It's beautiful, dries quickly. However, it doesn't seem to last long before chipping. My polishes are pretty old though so that could be the problem.
I also got my second perfume sample yesterday. This one is for
Escada Island Kiss. I can't remember now where I requested it from. I can kind of make out the smell through the packaging, and it smells pretty good from as far as I can tell. Will have to try this one out sometime.
