I haven't done one of these posts in awhile, and since I don't have a February haul post to share with you I decided to post this instead.. with that being said, I'm sad! I didn't win any polish in February, I haven't gotten any of my January polish prizes and of course I'm on a no buy. Hopefully March will be a little better... it should be, my birthday is in 2 weeks!
So in case you missed it, here is my singular new polish for February. Fortunately it is one I had been wanting since.. oh last Spring, and I got it for free.
Color Club Fame and Fortune.
I also got Seche Restore for free, but that's just not as fun as polish.
I do have one prize post to share with you sometime in the next few days though! Not polish but still fun :)
I have some more weather related pictures to share with you.. our weather in February was just crazy. It would warm up for a day, melt all the snow, then next day it would freeze again and snow again. Here's what our backyard looked like a few weeks ago.
Our entire backyard looks like a frozen lake! Or I should say it did. We got about 8 inches of snow the other day.. and of course I had a doctor's appointment so I was walking through it. With the snow drifts, it was more like 2 feet in part of our driveway and my doctor said there was about 4 feet of snow on some of the side roads. I don't doubt it! Here's our front yard.
Last week I had to go to Walgreens to pick up some medicine.. the day started well! Didn't end so nice but it was a good start.
On my way to Walgreens, I noticed my neighbors had left this stand out on the curb for the trash. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it so I picked it up and carried it home. I cannot believe how people waste things in this country. I can understand if it were broken or something but there was nothing wrong with it! Whatever.. it's mine now and I'm so happy to have it because there's so much more room in our living room now.
Here it is all cleaned up and filled with our movies, some of our video games, books and just a few of Mike's drawing supplies. (Those are my Sorel boots by the way - love them. This is the second pair I've owned in this style.)
Several weeks ago I had gotten a coupon from John Frieda for a free box of hair dye. I just had to pay the sales tax which was like 67 cents or something. Now that's how I like to shop, $12.99 saved!
I did glance at the polishes while I was there, but I was good and didn't buy anything.. if it weren't for the $100 I had just spent on a month's supply of my medicine (yikes!) I probably would have gotten something. Oh well. The new Sinful Color polishes are all really pretty in person btw!
I also finally tried making ice globes.. if you're not familiar with these, basically you put some food coloring in a balloon, fill it with water, then wait for it to freeze. Mine didn't freeze through so they popped, but they still are pretty... I have some more sitting outside on the porch freezing up right now so hopefully they turn out better. I may do a full blog post about these later.. it all depends on my mood :)
I also tried making Fibonacci bread for the first time ever. This is just Betty Crocker's recipe, with onions. We threw some parmesan cheese and oregano on top and it was really good! Definitely going to make this more often!
I also wanted to report that I got a birthday club reward already! Chicken of the Sea sent me a 50 cents off coupon for any of their products. Love tuna, yum! :)
Whew! A lot going on in this post, I know. Thanks for reading all of that! Have a good weekend everyone... giveaway post coming up shortly and I should have a couple of manicure posts for you this weekend :)
