"From the beginning, Julep has been powered by girlfriends. To celebrate these unique roots and to continue to pay it forward, we are proud to donate to organizations that empower women. At Julep, our mission is to ignite the spirit of engagement in women everywhere, and our Powered by Girlfriends initiative is an important part of bringing this mission to life.
To honor National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we at Julep have teamed up with The Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation.
This October, not only are we happily contributing a donation to
support their incredible foundation as a part of Powered By Girlfriends,
but we also collaborated on this amazing infographic!"
As I'm sure you all know by now, it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and many of the bloggers have been posting manicures in support. I wasn't going to do anything, simply because I support Cancer Awareness in general as opposed to supporting one type over another. I hope that makes sense? So anyway, I was checking the blog posts and I realized this is the last Wednesday before the end of the month, not including Halloween, so I decided to do something just on a whim. I know, I'm late with this as usual :b
Also, because I don't have a lot of time tonight, but I did want to do SOMETHING this is a spur of the moment manicure over my old manicure, and the colors didn't quite come out as I planned. They look a lot more purple on camera than they are in life for some reason, so I do apologize for that. Another one of those things that comes with living at night.
I used:
Julep Eva
Sally Hansen Hard Core Party (ok, ignore the name... I forgot that was the name of the polish and rest assured, this wasn't intentional!)
ELF Light Pink
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
and because I need some glitter, I used WingDustCollections Love, love me do!
I went with kind of an ombre to recognize that Cancer does come in all shapes, sizes... and also it effects us all. I picked Love, love me do! specifically because it has hearts and again I was trying to be a bit symbolic.
Also, please excuse the messy cleanup and once again, the purple tint. I really didn't mean for it to be that purple. The more I looked at it the worse it looked so I decided to take it off and do another quick manicure for you. Here I'm wearing basically a jelly sandwich using Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter and Sally Hansen LCD. Definitely more pink, but also more natural.
Still not the right shade of pink. I tried :b
I'd like to take this chance to let you all know that next month is Epilepsy Awareness Month. I myself have epilepsy, so I will definitely be doing a post about this sometime during the month. I'd appreciate it if some of my fellow bloggers would help support me with this.
Your ombre manicure looks pretty ~!!
