I got a whole bunch of mail today that I want to share with you! I woke up about 2 hours early today, in part because I knew these packages were waiting for me but also because of the time change. I just do not adjust well to the time change :(
I knew I was getting 1 package from Julep & my stamping kit today but I was surprised to see I also got my Target beauty bag!
Sorry for the "candid" photos. Here's what I got in my beauty bag:
pixi beauty primer sample
Fekkai Shea butter Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner samples
Jergens Daily Moisture sample
Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Total Care Shampoo and conditioner samples
and Loreal Evercreme Shampoo, conditioner and masque samples.
Not too bad. Nice to have so many shampoo and conditioner samples, because those I use more than anything else, but I kind of wish there were a lip balm sample or something different. The bag itself is pretty nice, and I have to say it's more sturdy than the previous bags I've gotten. Except for whatever reason I thought the bag would be kind of fluffy textured and this is more like fake leather I suppose.
Next let me show you what I got in my Julep box!
Julep was awesome enough to send me these 3 colors for National Epilepsy Awareness Month! They also sent me a sample of their pedicreme. Thank you Julep, you're awesome! They gave me Gayle, Charlotte, and Renee, which I will probably be trying out sometime this week :)
Here's my stamping kit! I got Konad's Stamping Nail Art Set B and I'm really excited! According to Amazon's listing, the green polish was replaced with a black one but I didn't notice that until after I purchased this set.. as you can see, I got the green so I am all set for my Christmas stamping manicures :)
Yesterday I just HAD to try out Claire's Candy Shop on a couple of my nails and of course when I did my manicure the other day I wasn't thinking at all about practicing stamping.. so there is currently a whole lot going on with my nails. I think you can see well enough though that my first stamping turned out OK :)
The stamping wasn't too difficult... I feel silly now after reading so many comments about how hard it is, and how much practice it takes. :P It wasn't that bad! The second time I tried it, it didn't work AT all. I mean, none of the polish came off the plate. So I think I wasn't working fast enough? My boyfriend wanted to give it a try (leave it to an artist to want to try anything artistic) and of course, he did it perfectly with his first attempt. My third attempt came out a little messy, and my final attempt didn't lay flat on my nail, and it also wasn't as centered as I meant it to be but overall it really wasn't that difficult. This is going to be fun :)
Stamping on ring finger only.
Ooooh, Lovely haul! Those juleps look so gorgeous! I'm so excited about starting stamping ahah, how are you finding it?
