Wingin It Lacquer: Little Black Dress

Product sample.

Today I have the first of 5 polishes from Wingin' It Lacquer to share with you. This one is Little Black Dress. I found this formula a little difficult to work with, and I was a little unsure of it at first. Here's why, this is a texture polish which I was not expecting! The formula is thick, and it works best with 2 coats. If it were just a tad bit thinner I think it would make for great layering. However, due to the thickness of the formula it's a bit difficult to get even coverage so I would just use this one by itself.

I found the color to be more of a dark grey than black, but it's full of holo sparkles which makes for a beautiful color. I can think of a ton of different fun nail art manicures this would be great for: chalkboards, roads with cars.. just to name a few that come quickly to mind.

I decided to do a little bit of nail art with this polish myself. I had been reading Terry Goodkind's new book, the Third Kingdom. This next manicure was inspired by the cover.

I did kind of a gradient, and just sponged on Julie G Hot Cinnamon and Sugar Rush randomly.

Later, I tried out Julie G Blueberry Fizz and I decided it needed some tips.. and Little Black Dress worked perfectly for this!

You can find Wingin It Lacquer on etsy and bigcartel. Their polish is $9 for a full size bottle.
